After four rounds of negotiations, starting in 2022, this is a remarkable achievement for the country, opening the way for economic development and new opportunities for enterprises, industries and citizens from both sides.
The agreement includes the field of trade in goods and services. It is worth noting that Kosovo is the only country in the region that negotiates trade in services with the EFTA countries.
This is of vital importance considering the potential that the Republic of Kosovo has in providing professional services.
Today's agreement marks not only the end of negotiations, but also the beginning of a stronger partnership between our countries.
And as you know, EFTA countries have strategic importance for the country's economy.
The EFTA negotiations were led by Mr. Zef Dedaj, leader of the Kosovo delegation, while from the ranks of EFTA by Mrs. Karin Buechel, leader of the delegation.
