Minister Kusari-Lila met with the mayors of municipalities for the development of 14 industrial parks

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, held a meeting with mayors and representatives of ten municipalities in Kosovo, where the new vision for the development of industrial and technological parks in the country was discussed.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the municipalities of Drenas, Gjilan, Lipjan, Mitrovica, Podujeva, Rahovec, Shtime, Suhareka, Viti and Vushtrri. The discussions focused on planning parks according to modern standards, with particular emphasis on the circular economy and industrial symbiosis, where waste from one industry is used as a resource for other industries.

According to Minister Kusari-Lila, in cooperation with municipalities and the private sector, the sectoral destination of industrial parks will be determined, with the aim of creating clusters of related industries and attracting large foreign investors. Also, during the meeting, park management models were presented, designed with the support of the German Economic Team (GET), to ensure their efficient functioning and management.

The Kosovo government plans to develop 14 industrial and technological parks across the country over the next four years, with an initial investment of 30 million euros. These projects aim to strengthen local industry, increase exports, attract foreign investment, create new jobs and reduce environmental impact.
