Innovation as a key driver for the success of enterprises in remaining competitive

Today, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, participated in a signing ceremony for agreements with 34 beneficiary enterprises of the innovation grant scheme. This scheme aims to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as well as startups in financing projects that involve developing new or improved products, services, or processes, including enhancing production methods.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), in cooperation with LuxDev and the KSV/023 project, has invested 1.9 million euros in this scheme divided into Lot 1 for MSMEs and Lot 2 for Start-ups.
Today, 34 MSMEs benefiting from Lot 1 will begin their projects with financial support of up to 40,000 euros or a maximum of 50% of the cost of the innovative project.
Minister Hajdari, among other things, said "This collaboration between local institutions and international partners is an excellent example of how we can enhance the effectiveness of support to unleash the potential of the private sector, in order to become a driver for social, economic, and environmental development in Kosovo. Through such investments, our goal is for local enterprises to offer high value-added products for both the local and international market, as well as to provide decent employment opportunities for our youth."
Minister Hajdari highlighted the success of entrepreneurs who have an impact on the sustainable development of the country and the improvement of the socio-economic well-being of our citizens!
Wishing everyone success, she also encouraged all local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as start-ups, to apply for the open calls until January 24, 2025, in order to benefit from the support funds provided by the Government of Luxembourg to the private sector in Kosovo.
These funds are particularly crucial for enterprises looking to secure capital to advance their solutions through innovation.
